Baking Soda for Acne

Exfoliate with baking soda to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores.

All you need to make this home acne remedy is about a tablespoon of baking soda, a bowl or small plate, and two teaspoons of water.

Test a small amount of baking soda and water on the back of your hand or arm before applying it. If it doesn’t burn then test a small amount on your face before applying.

If baking soda burns your skin do not use it. This remedy will sting a little, but if the it starts to burn your skin wash your face with warm water immediately. If the burn persists place a warm rag on your face to soothe your skin from the burn.

Exfoliate with baking soda for acne.

Place the baking soda in the bowl or on the small plate.
Mix the water with the baking soda until it turns into a thick paste.
Apply the baking soda paste gently rubbing in circular motions.
Avoid the eye area, eye brows, and keep a quarter inch away from the mouth.
Exfoliate with the paste for three to five minutes then rinse with warm water.
Pat dry your face.
Use baking soda once a week if you have average skin or once every other week if you have dry or sensitive skin. You don’t want to use an exfoliate everyday otherwise you will dry out your skin.

Do not use this after doing something that makes your skin sensitive like shaving or face peels.
