Cholera

Cholera is an acute infection of the small intestine which is highly infectious and caused by a bacterium affecting the absorption of water in the small intestine. In many cases it causes diarrhea within few hours. Cholera can prove to be fatal if it not treated promptly. Medical attention is must for cholera but home remedies help you to reduce the intensity of the disease

Symptoms of cholera:

• Mild diarrhea is the first sign of cholera.
• Loose motions
• Feeling heavy thirst
• Fever
• Restlessness

Causes of cholera:

The primary cause of cholera is a germ named vibrio cholera. It attacks due to contaminated
food, water etc.

Home Remedies for cholera:

• The simplest home remedy for cholera is lemon juice. It should be consumed with sugar or salt.
• Take two teaspoons of bitter gourd juice mixed with equal quantity of white onion juice and a tea spoon of lime juice and have it through mouth twice daily to control the affect of cholera.
• Take four grams of cloves and boil them in three liters of water until half of the water has evaporated. The decoction thus prepared should be taken by the patient several times during the day. It reduces the affect of cholera.
• Drink only boiled water.
• Boil un-pasteurized milk before drinking it.
• Avoid ice cubes in drinks unless make sure that they were made out of pure water.
• Ice creams from doubtful sources should be strictly avoided.
• Avoid eating raw fish and shell fish
• Drinking a glass of fresh cucumber leaves juice with an equal quantity of tender coconut water acts as a best home remedy for cholera
• Take 1 teaspoon of drumstick leaves juice, half table spoon of honey with two cups of tender coconut water. Consume this twice a day in order to treat cholera
