Internal Factors That Cause Acne

Chinese face mapping is a way of determining what internal factors are causing acne breakouts. By mapping out your face into different areas you can associate each area with a specific organ. Based on which area or areas you are breaking out you can learn more about what your acne is telling you about bad habits and internal factors that are causing you to have acne breakouts.

Forehead – Digestion

Internal factors that cause breakouts in this area are poor digestion and water intake. If you tend to breakout on your forehead eat more fruits and vegetables to clear out your digestive system or drink them in a juice also know as green juice. Also, you can use green tea and lemon juice for their cleansing effects to help your digestion and cleanse your body. You know if you have poor water intake based on whether or not you are drinking eight glasses of water a day. An easy way to keep track of eight glasses of day is to drink two glasses first thing when you wake up. Drink one glass for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Get the other three glasses in between meals as you get thirsty throughout the day. If you don’t like the taste, try putting some fresh squeezed lemon or a splash of some cranberry in it for flavor. Don’t use an artificial sweetener because it will take away from the cleansing effects. Breakouts can also occur in this area if you have food allergies.

Area Between the Eyebrows – Liver

If you are breaking out in this area then you may be putting too much stress on your liver with the foods you are eating. Over eating, eating too many rich foods, and eating late at night can cause you to break out in this area. If you breakout in between your eyebrows eat at at sensible times. Also, cut down on processed foods and eating or drinking too many rich foods such as alcohol, cheeses, and other dairy products. Being lactose intolerant can also cause breakouts in this area.

Nose – Heart

A nose that is red, swollen, and bulbous can be caused by high blood pressure.

Upper Cheeks – Lungs

If you smoke, have asthma, or live in a polluted area you are more likely to break out in this area. The cleansing effects of green tea can help if you live in a polluted area or smoke regularly. Keep the air in your house clean by opening up a window and letting fresh air in. If it’s not a year round option for you to keep your windows open due to the weather use an ionic air purifier or a diffuser to keep the air in your house clean. Not doing enough cardio exercise is another factor for pimples that occur in this area. Deep breathing exercises can also help clear the pimples in this area.

Lower Cheeks – Mouth

Having an unclean mouth along with gum and teeth problems can cause pimples in this area.

Ears – Kidneys

The ear area can be treated by putting less stress on your kidneys. Drink more water and cut down on your caffeine and salt intake.

Sides of the Chin – Hormone Imbalance

If you’re a teenager you will likely get breakouts here, and there isn’t much you can do about it. Hormone imbalances for teenagers are just a fact of life. However, you can help balance your hormones by drinking green tea. Poor digestion and water intake can also cause pimples to occur in this area.

Chest Area – Stress

Try a deep relaxation technique at night and at least once throughout the day to reduce stress. Wear loose fitting natural clothing to prevent acne in this area while you exercise.

Other Areas

The other areas of the face are linked to poor digestion and water intake such as the center of the chin, stomach, gal bladder, colon, and spleen. Basically follow all of the suggested ways to treat the internal factors and cut down on any bad habits that could be causing your acne as well.
