Abrasions

Abrasion is described as a wound or an injury that causes high damages to your skin. It only affects the upper most layer of our skin. It usually doesn’t go much deeper than epidermis. Abrasions are not so severe than many other types of skin injuries including laceration.

Symptoms of Abrasions:

Partial loss of skin layers
Swelling and pain
Oozing of liquid at the affected area
Tenderness on and around the area
Burning sensation
Sometimes mild fever
Itching in case of an insect bite or allergic reaction.

Causes of Abrasions:

Sports injury
Falling from small heights
Accidents
Traumas
Bed sores

Home Remedies for Abrasions:

Whenever you had an injury first cleans the wound properly with an antiseptic soap and warm water. That protects you from infection of microbes.

Apply some honey over the affected area. It cures the abrasions fast
Apply aloe Vera gel over the infected skin
Wash the affected area with hydrogen peroxide. It prevents the growth of any kind of microbes in the infected skin parts.
Apply some drops of lavender oil over the skin abrasion is also an effective home remedy.
Prepare an ointment by mixing tea tree oil, comfrey and calendula. Apply this ointment on the affected area.
Wash the infected area and apply vitamin E oil or cod oil over the skin. This helps you to heal the wound fast
Apply garlic oil over the injured skin parts to reduce inflammation of the skin and prevent infection
Applying dock leaves over the skin Abrasions is also an effective home remedy
Dip a cotton ball in vinegar and clean the injured part of the skin with it. It helps in preventing the growth of microbes.
