Aspirin Salicylic Acid Mask for Acne

Salicylic acid is a powerful active ingredient used in acne products and it’s also the main ingredient in aspirin.

This means you can try out salicylic acid using aspirin as an acne remedy and not have to worry about wasting the leftovers.

If this remedy does not work for you then you will have aspirin leftover for if you need it later.

An aspirin mask will unclog pores, remove dead skin cells, and it can be used to treat pimples and blackheads on the spot. You will notice reduced redness within two weeks of adding this mask to your normal routine. The salicylic acid in aspirin also helps to fade dark spots and acne scars.

All you need to make this home acne remedy are three uncoated aspirin or one packet of BC aspirin and two tea spoons of water. To make the mask stick and get added effects from another acne remedy use honey or if you are allergic to honey use aloe vera instead. If you don’t have either just use aspirin and water.

Wash your face with water and a cleanser.

Mix the aspirin with one to two teaspoons of water.
Add about a teaspoon of honey or aloe vera.
If you don’t have either just use the aspirin and water.
Apply to your entire face rubbing in circular motions.
Let the mask dry for fifteen minutes.
Rinse off with warm water rub in circular motions to exfoliate.
Be sure to use uncoated aspirin. The cheapest generic uncoated aspirin you can find is all you need to make this remedy. You can use coated aspirin, but it takes a much longer time to absorb into water. Uncoated aspirin absorbs into water almost instantly.

Do not use this mask more than once or twice a week. Anymore and your skin will grow tolerant to it.

It’s OK that the BC aspirin contains caffeine. Caffeine helps by removing toxins and improves the surface of the skin. It also leaves behind a glowing after effect.

Aspirin acne spot treatment.

Dab some aspirin dissolved in water onto spots. Let it dry for about fifteen minutes then rinse it off. Wait a few days before reusing aspirin in the same spot.

Since aspirin contains salicylic acid it will make the skin fifty percent more susceptible to the suns UV rays. Apply a moisturizer that wont clog pores and contains SPF 30 or higher in it after using aspirin for acne. This will not only help with overexposure to the sun, but it will also keep the skin from drying from the salicylic acid.
