Fixing your Damaged Hair

Damaged hair ruin a woman’s day. Women often buy high priced shampoos and conditions to fix the problem. However, you can have beautiful hair for just a small price and look your best.

Apple Cider Vinegar Treatment
The vinegar will remove residue and scaly build-up from the hair shaft. This will restore the hair’s natural shine, your hair will also be less likely to tangle, and since it has a tonic action it will promote blood circulation in the small capillaries of the skin. Apple cider vinegar is much milder than white vinegar and do not worry about the odor it will vanish as your hair dries. To use you mix one quart of water with1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar. Rinse your hair with this solution after shampooing. For external use only.

Avocado and Coconut
This may be messy, but will make a luxurious remedy. You need to combine one egg yolk, half of an avocado (mashed), and then add coconut milk – enough to make it smooth, mix thoroughly and massage onto scalp and rinse. The avocado and coconut are full of antioxidants that will protect your hair, the oils penetrate the shaft to protect and seal the cuticle.

Olive Oil
The ancient Greeks use this treatment, and it is still good to use for today’s damaged hair. Apply a liberal amount to your hair, then cover with a shower cap for up to 30 minutes. Rinse, followed by shampoo and conditions as usual. Olive oil has vitamin E and antioxidants that will protect the hair from sunlight and humidity. It will keep hair healthy and seal the cuticle because it is an oil. Be sure to avoid the use of rancid or spoiled oil.

You can also add rosemary, it has been used for centuries as it stimulates hair growth and protects against cell damage. Just heat 1/4 cup of olive oil (do not let bubble you should be able to touch it), pour into a bottle and add five drops of rosemary essential oil. Cover and leave on for 10-20 minutes; keep out of sunlight and will keep for at least a month.

Ginger Oil
Combined sesame and ginger to create a conditioning oil that leaves your hair smelling fresh and is also protected. You should look for unfiltered sesame oil it contains the most nutrients, but may have a darkening effect on your hair. To use, combine 1/4 cup of sesame oil with 1 teaspoon of grated ginger, mix well. Massage the oil into your scalp and let set for about 10 minutes; repeat weekly for the best effect. The ginger root has been used for centuries to treat dandruff, and is also known as a natural anti-inflammatory. Sesame oil is known to be a natural sunscreen. For external use, if irritation appears discontinue use.
